Sous Chef Position

Join us as Sous Chef and you will be right at the cutting edge of our kitchen’s creativity. You will be second in command to the head chef, adding your experience and wisdom to the team mix. Only held the role of sous chef for a brief time? No problem. Head chef will support you and show you the ropes.
Food is a serious business at Roots + Seeds, so you will be working in an advanced kitchen to create fabulous fresh dishes using the best of seasonal produce grown by our master gardener in the kitchen garden and local suppliers.
As deputy to the head chef, you will take full control of the kitchen in his absence. It’s a great opportunity to make a real impact and prove yourself within the company and you will be supported every step of the way.
A hygiene qualification, excellent food knowledge and food safety awareness are all essential for this role. But we are interested in your personality and potential too – not just your previous experience.

Commis Chef Position
Come and join us for our new adventure with roots and seeds kitchen garden.
We are looking for an ambitious and committed junior chef with a passion for food to work alongside our team of professionals in our happy kitchen environment.
This will be a busy working environment; as well as setting the standard high and demonstrating attention to detail you will help the team set the bar high in creating delicious dishes and having effective controls and excellent stands of health, safety and hygiene.
If you have already gained some experience in a busy kitchen environment and have enthusiasm and a genuine interest in a rewarding career with a great company we would love to hear from you. We see a junior chef as a head chef of the future, and this is a great opportunity to develop your skills in a busy environment working with professional chefs to create delicious dishes using quality ingredient grown by our own master gardener and sourced from local suppliers.

Pot Wash and Kitchen Assistance
Roots and seeds kitchen garden is looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team in a new adventure.
We are looking for new people who will undertake duties in all aspects – such as food preparation, pot wash. You will ideally be on hand to help the chefs deliver a great service, whatever it takes – so learning a bit of the chef side is a must.
You do not need experience and you don’t need to be a chef already – but you’ll need initiative and want to do a good job, making a big difference in a kitchen.
We can teach you the skills you need if required. It’s a lovely kitchen currently being purpose built for our new adventure.

Full Time Staff
We are looking for a lively person to join us on our new adventure with Roots + Seeds Kitchen Garden!
You’ll be a part of our Front of House team in a full-time position and be working with the most dynamic and innovative café/restaurant around.
This is a customer-facing role – your daily duties will include making the Kitchen Garden Café and Restaurant an organised, fun and relaxed environment for our guests while attending to everyday duties and delivering top notch customer service.
Food is a serious business here at R+S; you’ll get the chance to help out in our very own Kitchen Garden where we grow as much as we can for Sam Idoine, our head chef, and his team in the kitchen.
Experience in a customer-facing business essential. Experience in the hospitality industry preferred but not essential. (You need to be at least 18 years old.)
Rate of pay – £9 – £11 per hour depending on age and experience.

- 40+ hours a week

Part Time Staff
We are looking for energetic people to join us on our new adventure with Roots + Seeds Kitchen Garden!
You’ll be a part of our Front of House team in a part-time position and be working with the most dynamic and innovative café/restaurant around.
This is a customer-facing role – your daily duties will include making the Kitchen Garden Café and Restaurant an organised, fun and a relaxed environment for our guests while attending to everyday duties and delivering top notch customer service.
Food is a serious business here at R+ S; you’ll get the chance to help out in our very own Kitchen Garden where we grow as much as we can for Sam Idoine, our head chef, and his team in the kitchen.
Experience in a customer-facing business essential. Experience in the hospitality industry preferred but not essential.
This role is perfect for someone at college, a parent looking to get back into work, someone looking to grow their current earnings or looking for a weekend job. (You need to be at least 16 years old.)
Rate of pay – £7.50 – £10.50 per hour depending on age and experience.
